The EDELRID Absorber Sling is a self-belay sling designed in accordance with EN 355 standards for attaching to a belay chain or other anchor points. It has an elasticated arm for close-to-hand carabiner handling and is attached to a harness with a girth hitch. The sling has a minimum breaking strength of 15 kN and is able to hold a factor 2 standard fall (EN 355) with an impact force of less than 6 kN. It must not be used as a via ferrata set.
