The EDELRID Swift Protect Pro Dry 8.9mm climbing rope is the first dynamic single rope with a sheath that includes aramid, for markedly increased cut resistance. Thanks to a special processing method, the Swift Protect Pro Dry remains dynamic, despite reinforcement with aramid and the overall higher sheath content. The impact force remains within the required standard, making it the ideal lead climbing rope and the perfect companion for alpine climbing and mountaineering. It has a Thermo Shield treatment for pleasant handling and is durably water repellent and dirt resistant thanks to the Pro Dry finish. It has a 3D lap coiling, higher sheath content, and aramid processing for increased cut resistance under load. The rope is certified as a single, half, and twin rope, and is sharp edge approved. It has a core proportion of 64%, a diameter of 8.90mm, a sheath proportion of 36%, a cutting length of 30cm, a weight per meter of 53g/m, a static elongation of 5.5/5.2/3.5%, and a dynamic elongation of 29/26/25%. It is certified to EN 892 and is made of polyamide/aramid.
